Heinzmann Group is showcasing its range of propulsion and engine control systems as well as engine management and automation technologies for marine engines at international shipbuilding and marine technology trade fair SMM, taking place in Hamburg, Germany, Sept. 6 to 9.
Its subsidiaries Southampton, UK-based Giro Engineering Ltd., which specializes in high-pressure fuel injection pipework, and Uderns, Austria-based Innovative Filter Technology GmbH (IFT), will also have stands at the event.
The family-owned Heinzmann Group offers a product portfolio that includes electronically controlled fuel injection and engine control systems, dual-fuel system solutions, air-fuel ratio control systems for gas engines, generator management and systems for reducing engine emissions.
The company noted that it works with its partners and customers to develop modularly designed or system-integrated solutions that both comply with emissions regulations for the shipping industry and save resources.
Among the highlights the Group will feature at SMM is the all-new new Triton OMD II oil mist detection system to monitor conditions within marine engine crankcases.
This active monitoring system is based on two different optical measuring methods for reliability and accuracy, and it can be easily integrated in the engine or vessel systems via various communications interfaces.
Also featured will be the latest developments in digital and hydraulic governors and hydraulic actuators, including the microprocessor-controlled DG 2800.14 electrohydraulic governor presented by Heinzmann Group member Regulateurs Europa B.V.
The DG 2800.14 can be used on diesel, gas or dual-fuel engines and steam turbines. Standard functionality includes droop load sharing, droop loading sharing based on kilowatts and isochronous load sharing for up to four engines.
Other functionalities are offered for propulsion applications or can be added upon request.
The company’s display in Hall A3, Stand 309 also highlights future fuel solutions, CR-OEM solutions, an extension kit for PPN fuel injection systems, next-generation programmable controllers and more.
